This course is based on the free Ubuntu Server Intrepid Ibex distribution and covers components that are tested in the Ubuntu Certified Professional exam, the Linux Professional Institute (LPI) exam, as well as a few additional topics.
The course is introduced with basic security, maintenance, and troubleshooting tips. The rest of the course covers setting up the different servers in Ubuntu using the command line utility. The GUI on the client machines will be used for testing purposes. You are also exposed to system tools to ease administration and using ip tables and the firewall for security purposes.
